I started my IT consulting business six years back in a super competitive space. We would spend thousands of dollars in online advertising resulting in incredibly high cost of customer acquisition, eating into our margins.
Prospects would typically research for a service provider and discover us among many other providers. Our website would be one among the many open on their computers. The questions we would get from them while qualifying us would be the same as they would email everyone else. We wanted to get past this transactional relationship.
